Hellbound – Introduction
Hellbound is a comforting space in the basement at this Rundle St address in Adelaide. It is the brainchild of industry veteran Mark Reginato and industry professional and winemaker Louis Schofield. They have an excellent selection of wines (many of which are natural), simple but very good food and passionate staff.
The food menu varies with the seasons and availability of produce, but expect dishes such as whipped tahini, burrata with fresh tomatoes or sopresso with pickles and mustard as examples.
On the wine list you might find wines from the “new wave” of Australian winemakers such as Tom Shobbrook, The Other Right, Gentle Folk, Ochota Barrels, Fall From Grace, Travis Tausend and Brash Higgins as well as wines from around the world. You will also find classic Australian conventional wines such as Henschke, Rockford and Turkey Flat.
This is a great place to sit and relax over a glass of wine. And if you don’t know the wines the staff will be eager to find something that suits your mood.
