Merimbula – Introduction
Merimbula is a coastal town not too far from the border between Victoria and New South Wales. We spent a couple of days there quite recently on a road trip from Melbourne to Sydney and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Our visit to Merimbula was made even more enjoyable by finding two excellent places to eat and drink, namely Bar Superette and Sunny’s Kiosk. Both places had an excellent range of natural wines that made dining there even more enjoyable.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the local oysters which are harvested almost in the middle of the town – they were very “meaty” and full of flavour. The combination of flavour and texture was very appealing.
